Dec. 21 (Bloomberg) — Sanofi-Aventis SA agreed to buy Chattem Inc. , the maker of Gold Bond medicated body powder, for $1.9 billion to enter the U.S. consumer health care market.

German GfK Consumer Confidence Drops More Than Expected In January (INO News)
(RTTNews) – German consumer confidence deteriorated more than expected in January, a monthly survey from GfK Group showed Tuesday. The forward looking consumer confidence index fell to 3.3 points for January from a revised reading of 3.6 points in the prior month.
